CND 60th anniversary tour

The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), founded in 1958, is touring its symbol and initials across the UK in 2018 to mark its 60th anniversary and to highlight the continuing relevance of the campaign.  Locally, the tour will feature the famous CND and Peace symbol’s designer, Gerald Holtom, who lived in Hythe (1963-1985) and is buried at Seabrook.

Local tour details are as follows:

Saturday 28th April

Canterbury:  Lady Wootten’s Green CT1 1NQ and Dane John Gardens, CT1 2QX 11am-1pm

Dover: Samphire Hoe, CT16 1JT  2.30-4pm

Sunday 29th April

Folkestone: By the Leas Pavilion, CT20 2DZ 11am-1pm.

Hythe: Near the Royal Military Canal, Prospect Road, CT21 6AX and The Green 2.30-4.30pm.
