Events and Meetings

We’ve had a wide array of speakers, including Dr Hazel Dawes on migration and immigration; Penny Shepherd MBE, CEO of UK Sustainable Investment and Finance, leading a discussion on the future of finance and banking; Andrew Waldie from Kent Green Party on Positive Money (see Local Issues section); and Tracy Deighton-Brown about ‘Winning in a Tory Heartland’, including her experiences from Brighton.

Watch this website for details of guest speakers.  Such meetings are open to anyone who is not a member of another political party.

Action Day @ Hythe Spiritualist Church
Nov 17 @ 9:45 am – 12:30 pm

We will be running our first Action Day in our campaign for next May’s District Council elections on Saturday 17th November and we hope you will be able to join us.

The elections next May will be the main chance for local people to show the Conservatives that we are far from happy with the way they are running the District Council and a chance to increase the number of elected Green councillors in the area. With Martin having been re-elected to the County Council last year and by winning both the last two by elections for Hythe Town Council we have shown that Greens can win in Hythe. We need your help to continue this success story.

We will be meeting at the Hythe Spiritualist Chuch at 9.45am for a coffee and briefing. We will then go out in small groups to deliver our latest newsletter to homes in Hythe. At 12.30 we will meet up again for lunch at a local cafe which we will pay for as a thank you for all the hard work you will have done in the morning! If you can’t come for the whole morning that’s not a problem but it would be helpful if you could try to be at the briefing.

So that we have an idea of how many volunteers we will have on the day I’d be grateful if you would RSVP using this link

If you need to contact us on the day please call 07920 769397.
