Events and Meetings

We’ve had a wide array of speakers, including Dr Hazel Dawes on migration and immigration; Penny Shepherd MBE, CEO of UK Sustainable Investment and Finance, leading a discussion on the future of finance and banking; Andrew Waldie from Kent Green Party on Positive Money (see Local Issues section); and Tracy Deighton-Brown about ‘Winning in a Tory Heartland’, including her experiences from Brighton.

Watch this website for details of guest speakers.  Such meetings are open to anyone who is not a member of another political party.

Action Day with Amelia Womack @ Hythe
Apr 20 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Join us for our next action day when we are delighted to be joined by Green Party deputy leader, Amelia Womack. We will meet centrally (venue to be confirmed) and will hear from Amelia, followed by a group photo, before leafletting and, for those that want to, canvassing, regrouping for lunch, with further leafleting and canvassing afterwards for those with time and energy.

District and town council elections @ District-wide
May 2 all-day

If you can help on election day then please make contact. We need volunteers to man the polling stations (even if you can only spare an hour or so) and with other activities on the day.

Green Party Spring Conference @ Scarborough Spa
Jun 7 – Jun 10 all-day

The venue is right on the beach of Scarborough’s beautiful South Bay. Meet like-minded members from across England and Wales, learn more about Green Party policies, take part in activist training sessions, join the debates, network and socialise.

Over the four days there will be policy making and discussion groups, topical fringes and panel debates, social sessions such as walks and music, an exhibition, and discussions about the outcome of the Holistic Review which will decide the future governance of the party. There are sliding costs, based on income, and you can book for individual or all days.

If you would like to travel or meet with other Kent Greens at the event, then let us know.
