Events and Meetings

We’ve had a wide array of speakers, including Dr Hazel Dawes on migration and immigration; Penny Shepherd MBE, CEO of UK Sustainable Investment and Finance, leading a discussion on the future of finance and banking; Andrew Waldie from Kent Green Party on Positive Money (see Local Issues section); and Tracy Deighton-Brown about ‘Winning in a Tory Heartland’, including her experiences from Brighton.

Green Party Autumn Conference @ Harrogate Convention Centre

The Autumn Conference Harrogate Convention Centre, from Saturday 7 to Tuesday 10 October. If you would like to attend all or part of this event you  can register online via the members’ website from 1 July. Unlike some other political parties, Green Party policy is written and decided democratically by its members, usually at Conference. You can find out more about this process here:​. The relevant deadlines for the Autumn oconference as as follows:

30 June (midnight) – Pre-Agenda deadline: final date for posting of motions and policy papers to the policy discussion forums on the members’ website

14 July (midnight) – First Agenda deadline: Final date for notification of text of motions and policy papers to SOC

28 July – Publication of First Agenda.

18 August (midnight) – Final date for posting of amendments to the members’ website

25 August (midnight) – Final Agenda deadline: final text of amendments to SOC

15 September (midnight) – Final date for Late Motions to Conference
